Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band

The Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band took the field in Fall 2015, making history by unveiling a pre-game show unique to UNC Charlotte and a series of half-time performances designed to excite the entire Niner Nation. The band performs throughout each game, leading the crowd in cheers for crucial plays and in the fight song after every touchdown. And, of course, win or lose, the band leads the players, cheerleaders, and faithful fans in the UNC Charlotte Alma Mater at the conclusion of every home game.

Unlike in high school, students in the Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band will not be asked to fund their own participation. Instead, we are asking the Niner Nation community to support them through financial contributions.

ADDITIONAL UNIFORMS

The band is in need of several full uniforms in varying sizes!  As a new marching band program it was difficult to know exactly what size uniforms to order, which has led to a shortage of uniforms in the sizes needed for current students.

NEW DRUMS!

Most drums used for college drumlines last an average of 6-8 years.  The PNNMB currently plays on their original drums, which were purchased used.  The drums are 5 years old and are in need of replacement.  The band hopes to purchase a custom set of drums made specifically for UNC Charlotte for the 2016 marching season.
