UNC Charlotte Mock Trial Makes History - and We’re Not Done Yet!
The UNC Charlotte Mock Trial Program is off to an incredible start this season - and it’s all thanks to your support!
With over 50 students participating, this is our largest team in program history! In just the first few tournaments, our students have already made their mark.
After a strong showing at William & Mary, where A Team Co-Captain Wyatt Smith was named Top Witness, our program sent three teams to the Davidson College Wildcat Classic Invitational; another record-breaking milestone.
For the first time ever, two of our teams placed at the same tournament:
???? A Team finished undefeated and took first place!
???? B Team earned third place (tied for second overall!)
Individual honors were awarded to:
- Wyatt Smith (A) – Best Witness (tied for top overall)
- Ethan Harris (B) – Best Witness and Best Attorney (a rare double honor)
- Ryan Sterling (D) – Best Witness
- Karen Czapowski (A) – Second-highest scoring attorney overall

A few weeks ago, our team volunteered at UNC Charlotte’s International Festival, helping clean up around Halton Arena and connecting with students from across the globe.
Then last week, we competed at William & Mary’s Colonial Classic Invitational, where we faced the third-toughest schedule in the tournament - and Wyatt Smith was named the top-ranked witness of the competition!
