UNC Charlotte Mock Trial

Building the Next Generation of Lawyers and Leaders

Charlotte Mock Trial is a passionate community of students who aspire to enter the legal field. We’re more than a club - we’re a big family, dedicated to learning courtroom procedure, sharpening advocacy skills, and supporting one another. Together, we’re training tomorrow’s lawyers, judges, and policymakers.

Mock Trial is where we learn, compete, and grow. 

Undoubtedly the most anticipated part of mock trial every year is being able to attend competitions. These are the best forms of practice we have before entering the elimination portion of the AMTA season.

Tournaments mean so much more to us than just honing our litigation skills. These weekends are where some of the closest bonds between all of us are made. Yes, we learn a great deal, but more importantly we make memories with people that are some of our closest friends!

However, competing is expensive.

  • $350 registration per team, per tournament (and we now have 4 teams)!
  • Travel, lodging, and meals add up quickly.

Our Goals

Since 2020, we’ve been rebuilding our organization to its former glory, and this past year we have had tremendous growth - we earned nearly 20 awards at competitions, our top team posted the highest record in program history, and we came this close to advancing past AMTA Regionals!

Even more exciting? Our membership has tripled since last year! With more students than ever eager to compete, we’re aiming even higher this season. 

We want to ensure that no matter the size of our club, every member gets the best experience possible. Help us keep up our momentum so that we keep growing and succeeding.
