Honoring the Ancestors

Honoring the Ancestors is a peacebuilding initiative that promotes community sustainability through the memorialization of formerly enslaved persons buried in historic Presbyterian slave cemeteries throughout Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. This project leverages strategic partnerships between the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Moore Grace Ministries, Inc., and local Presbyterian churches.
