This week the team started cutting, bending, and welding our 2024 chassis! We are super proud of our chassis design team and are looking forward to the next few weeks of chassis production. Stay tuned as we forge ahead!
Our engineers are hard at work on our powertrain in the Kulwicki Lab this week.
Thank you Charlotte Motorspeedway Steam for hosting this amazing event today! We had such a great turnout with a very enthusiastic audience!
Our EV and sister IC team have visited more local community events in the past few weeks. The first event was Touch-a-Truck, where visitors could interact and explore everything ranging from firetrucks to city buses. Both teams represented at the event and helped spread the word even more about our upcoming 2023 competitions.
More recently, last Saturday both teams visited the Charlotte Cars & Coffee, where we met dozens of car enthusiasts and motorsport lovers. We showcased our IC 2022 vehicle, and the 49ers Legends car, attracting a lot of attention to go in-depth about both clubs. Overall both events were great to attend, and they've only helped improve our electric team's exposure.
This past weekend, 49ers Racing EV had the opportunity to attend two great events in the local Charlotte area. The first event we attended was a STEAM school event, held at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This event gave K-12 students the opportunity to get up close to some of our race cars and learn about how they work, along with exploring all the other great exhibits there. We love going to events like these because these kids are the future of motorsports and EV technology. The second event we attended was National Drive Electric Week, hosted by Wells Fargo. We had a great time talking to people about our project as well as getting to see all the cool EVs in attendance!
