The UNC Charlotte Film Club plans to host our 5th Annual Gold Reel Student Film Festival this April to celebrate student filmmaking. Our goal is to recognize the talents of student filmmakers by displaying their short films and screenplays for a community of diverse artists, film enthusiasts, and fellow students.
The Gold Reel Student Film Festival is unique as an international film festival created and run by UNC Charlotte students. Entering our fifth year, the Gold Reel Festival's reach and impact has grown and called attention to the individual student filmmakers as well as the Film Studies program at UNC Charlotte.
The quality of the films featured in the festival, along with the quality of the overall event, is a powerful example of what can be accomplished by the students at UNC Charlotte. Attracting submissions from students from 19 countries, the Gold Reel Festival still managed to feature a number of filmmakers from UNC Charlotte and other area universities.
The Gold Reel Student Film Festival has proven itself to be a fantastic ambassador to the community, national and international colleges and students.
