ABOUT US
Building Leaders. Establishing Community. Declaring Our Legacy.
The Legacy M.E.N. at UNC Charlotte is dedicated to cultivating holistic, driven, and authentic leaders of all backgrounds.
Through professional development, campus engagement, networking, and community service, we create opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact on the communities around them.
What we stand for:
- Leadership: Creating confident and accountable leaders.
- Community: Building meaningful connections and encouraging engagement.
- Professional Growth: Preparing students for postgraduate opportunities.
- Service: Using our organization to make a positive impact on campus and beyond.
- Legacy: Building a society that continues to make a difference long after our time at UNC Charlotte.
Our goal extends beyond building a community on campus. We strive to create experiences that raise awareness, encourage advocacy, and bring people together around meaningful causes. Through service and engagement, we aim to leave a lasting impact and help build a better future.

WHY WE GATHER FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
One Community. One Cause. One Legacy.
The Legacy M.E.N. Breast Cancer Awareness Cookout is about more than bringing people together. It's an opportunity for students, families, campus organizations, and members of the Charlotte community to unite around an important cause.
While our original event was planned as a breast cancer awareness run, we've transitioned to a cookout to accommodate event logistics and member availability. Although the format has changed, our commitment to raising breast cancer awareness and supporting the fight against breast cancer remains the same.
Through this gathering, we hope to encourage conversations about women's health, increase awareness of breast cancer, and highlight the importance of continued advocacy and scientific research.
