Charlotte Lunabotics

UNC Charlotte's Lunabotics team is a group of 10 engineering students who will be competing in the 2026 NASA Lunabotics Competition at the Kennedy Space Center. The competition is now part of NASA’s Artemis Student Challenge and focuses on lunar exploration. A description of each leading team member is available above, and the complete team roster is shown below.

This project’s main goal is to compete and win NASA’s Lunabotics competition, hosted at Kennedy Space Center. We are tasked to design a lunar rover capable of autonomous navigation and excavation of lunar simulant, including transportation, and deposition in a designated drop-off zone. Our team members have the once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of the NASA research and design process and to compete in a highly prestigious environment.

That being said, funds are required to make this trip possible, and will grant the team access to materials, components, travel and lodging expenses for the 10 day competition.
