Aspiring Leaders to ALPFA National Convention 2025!

Bienvenidos! Welcome!

We are glad you are here and hope you can help our aspiring professionals attend the National Convention in Las Vegas in 2025! As young professionals, we strive to become future leaders and continue to grow our families' legacy. Your support would allow us to empower each other and our community to continue making a difference in our nation.

Who are we?

ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) was the first national Latino professional association in the United States, established in Los Angeles in 1972. Throughout our 52-year history, we have experienced steady growth and demonstrated consistent value. ALPFA continues to build upon its proud legacy with a mission: To empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation in every sector of the global economy.

ALPFA currently serves.....

There are more than 116,000+ professional and student members across the country, and the number is planned to grow aggressively to 300,000 within the next two years. In addition to networking and professional leadership development opportunities, ALPFA members have access to over 50,000 paid summer internships and experienced job opportunities through hundreds of Fortune 1000 corporate partners. ALPFA aspires to be the business partner for companies seeking to hire and develop Latino talent.

Impact with your support!

With your donation and support, you will be helping a marginalized community within the UNC Charlotte Community to help expand their professional and personal skills. Not only will you be making an impact, but you will have ALPFA members look forward to meeting more people like YOU who want to see them succeed and broaden their network! Your support will help an ALPFA undergraduate member go to our National Convention. This support will help ease the hesitation about having enough finances for this trip and help them focus on securing those full-time offers while at the convention. Any support is greatly appreciated, and it will help our undergraduate members seek the future they are working hard for!

Testimonials from our UNC Charlotte ALPFAmilia:

 Miguel Contreras, UNC Charlotte Alumn

"ALPFA has been instrumental in shaping my journey from an undergraduate student to a professional. As a student, ALPFA provided me with countless opportunities to develop my leadership skills, connect with mentors, and build a network that continues to benefit me today. Through events, workshops, and networking opportunities, I gained invaluable insights into the professional world, particularly in understanding the importance of personal branding and building meaningful relationships. Now as a professional, the network I built through ALPFA remains a critical part of my career growth. I owe much of my professional success to the doors ALPFA opened for me because I would not have my current position at Ally had I not been a part of ALPFA. I am proud to continue giving back to the organization and the community that helped me get here. Staying connected to my roots through ALPFA is a way to pay it forward and help others on their own journeys."

 Hazly Asabay-Ortiz, UNC Charlotte Student

"ALPFA has greatly influenced me to be my best self and has shown me how much investing in my future prepares me for the next stage in my life. I was excited to find out that I earned the scholarship to attend the National ALPFA convention in Las Vegas. Convention was one of the most amazing experiences I have had because it allowed me to see the bigger picture in regards to professional development. I learned what a good resume looks like, how to build a good cover letter, and how to network in a fluid authentic way. I would have never had the opportunity to make connections with as many companies as I did, if I had not attended the National ALPFA convention. I am now confident in my ability to not only create meaningful connections on a professional level but also effectively secure an internship or a job."
