The 2024-2025 49er Rocketry Team has had its first successful vehicle launch! This weekend, the team launched the subscale vehicle with a payload to record data. The rocket, named Baja Blast Off! by our donors, traveled over 3,500 feet. Thanks to the onboard payload, the team was able to record important data that can be used to improve our future rockets. Next, we will focus our efforts on our next NASA document, the critical design review. Thank you for your support!
On November 4th, the UNC Charlotte 49er Rocketry Team had their first major document presentation with NASA! This report included our preliminary design for the vehicle, payload, and our plans for testing the rocket. Now, we are shifting our focus to our subscale rocket, to test our designs for our full scale. After that, we will begin documenting for our Critical Design Review Document due January 8th. Right now, we are getting ready for our subscale launch, and we hope to share its success with you! Go Niners!
