Congratulations to all 6 participants at the Annual Sigma Tau Delta Conference. Sarah Engle, Bree Johnson, Melanie Diaz, Sa'Nya Polo, Mary-Catherine Berger, and Emiliann Williams present scholarly and creative work that impressed their audiences in their respective sessions. Over 900 people attended Sigma's "Centennial Convention" and our chapter which was applauded for celebrating it's 40th anniversary earned accolades from students and faculty alike!
Presenters (L-R): Sarah, Bree, Melanie, Sa'Nya, Mary-Catherine, and Emiliann
Many, many thanks to all of you whose contributions made this scholarly adventure possible. Next year, we hope, we'll have another brilliant group of students in Pittsburgh!
Four of our conference participants meeting to review and rehearse their work prior to the conference. From left right: Emiliann; Sarah; Melanie; and Bree! Alan's notepad is on the table. Their work was incredible. Profound and beautifully written pieces that will reflect well on the Department and the University!
Hello donors!
Thank you for your help! We have been busy fundraising for our upcoming trip. We hosted a Valentine's Day Blind-Date-With-A-Book-Bake-Sale! A mouthful of a name, but a successful event nonetheless! We wrapped more than 70 books - you can't judge a book by its cover! - and presented them as blind dates for students on Valentine's Day. And what else could you possibly need with a good book as a date? Bakes! Assorted treats tempted students alongside their literary lovers. We are working hard to get to St. Louis - thank you again for your help!
