Study abroad opens minds and hearts
and builds relationships key to student success.

Welcome to our crowdfunding campaign!

Dean Pereira's "Inquiry Into the Visual Arts" honors course is ready to embark on a study abroad segment in Vienna during the fall break.
But we need your help!

Why Vienna?
Vienna's rich artistic history offers a unique learning experience for students. Charlotte has few works by major artists and, as a relatively young city, lacks historical art. In contrast, Vienna’s museums are among the best in the world, displaying many objects of global importance and featuring top international exhibitions.
Museums such as the Kunsthistorische are known for housing paintings by Albrecht Dürer, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Titian, Tintoretto, Paolo Veronese, Caravaggio, Peter Paul Rubens, Diego Velázquez, and others. Students will be able to see, in person, great works by Rembrandt, Picasso, Monet and others.

Study Abroad: Expanding Horizons
This journey isn't just about art; it's about opening minds and fostering connections among students, enriching their educational experience. This opportunity to study abroad gives students exposure to new perspectives while learning how to navigate different cultures and people.

How You Can Help
We are asking alumni and friends to help us raise $30,000 to cover the cost of travel, housing, meals and entry fees for 10 students, or $3,000 for each student. You can support this program with $5 or $5,000. Your contribution, no matter the size, helps create a transformational learning experience for our students. Every gift will help our students and have a positive impact on them personally, intellectually and professionally.

Thank you for being a part of this artistic journey!

You can double or triple the impact of your gift if your employer participates in a matching gift program.  To see if your employer has a matching gift program, click here. If your company matches, complete your matching gift form and submit it to UNC Charlotte via mail (UNC Charlotte Foundation, 9201 University City Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28223), fax (704-687-7259) or email (mwinslow@charlotte.edu).
