Help the UNC Charlotte Tau Beta Pi group raise money for a Make-A-Thon event. Participants will get a materials kit where they will be able to compete in building a land vehicle and compete the final designs versus one another. Participants will be scored on speed, weight, total materials used and other metrics. The participant with the most points win. This event will be open to all engineering students within the college.
This event will help the UNC Charlotte Tau Beta Pi group further build the community around engineers in and out of the program and help bring awareness to different engineering principles and social aspects.
The purpose of Tau Beta Pi is to foster a sense of community among members and to host campus events for all engineering students. The group is the second-oldest honors society in the United States and was founded in 1885. There are 255 collegiate chapters and 50 alumni chapters. NC Delta is the UNC Charlotte chapter.
