Our Crowdfunding Groups
49ers Racing is a student collegiate design team where students at UNC Charlotte design and manufacture to contend on a global stage through the Formula SAE competition against other universities; the uniqueness of this student organization allows yearly growth in all facets of the team.
Each set of subteam leaders has made it their priority to elevate the entire work cycle that competition requires ever since the group took a reset year in 2020. Their sacrifices have given this program the ability to achieve many noteworthy milestones such as a 25th overall finish in 2022. A year later in 2023 the team showed up strong and scored its first top-10 finish in nearly 2 decades, beating 125 other institutions—this includes beating every other university in the Carolinas. The team now has its sights set on the 2024 competition, with the goal of a placement of 5th or higher.
Our organization has more experience and motivation than ever before. We are driven to continue maximizing the momentum built over the past few years. With a completely new re-designed racecar and revamped program, we need your help to get us to competition at Michigan International Speedway.
