Our Crowdfunding Groups
SAFE is a peer mentoring program, created to support the transition of first-year students to Charlotte. Housed within the Office of Identity, Equity, & Engagement, SAFE is open to all first-year students but has a unique focus on students from historically marginalized backgrounds (students of color, first generation students, low socioeconomic status, etc.). Our program seeks to minimize academic, social, & economic challenges by encouraging students to actively utilize and participate in support services, providing peer to peer support, access to secondary academic advising, & raising awareness of various campus resources. SAFE is one of the best retention tools at Charlotte.
SAFE Voyage -Voyage is a week-long program held the week before classes begin. During Voyage students will learn to navigate campus and be introduced to academic & student support resources while networking with students, faculty, & staff. Participation in Voyage automatically enrolls students into the year long academic SAFE program.
Your donation will support SAFE Voyage and other operations related to SAFE.
