49ers Racing is a student collegiate design competition where students at UNC Charlotte design, manufacture and compete on a global stage against other universities with open-wheeled single seater formula race cars. The program here at Charlotte is LEGENDARY.
The past few years, the team was on a holt and new leaders of 49ers Racing made it their ambition to compete as a first year team for the 2022 International Formula SAE competition. After long nights, the team brought home an impressive 25th overall 99 teams across the globe.
This year, our team has EXPERIENCE. We are driven to maximize our designs, calculations and precision. With a brand new completely re-designed racecar, we need your help to get us to competition!

This donation will help our team with with fasteners for our car. There are over 1,500 components to a Formula Car, so many of those are bolts and fasteners!
This level will help our team cover competition travel costs! We have to travel 1000 kilometers to competition, as well as provide the team comfortably for a week at Michigan International Speedway. This donation secures our spot!
Pole Position. Wow you did it! Your donation will help our team cover the cost of tires to keep us rolling! What is the only thing that connects your vehicle to the ground? Tires! It is important that we always have tires to perform accordingly to our calculations. This donation literally keeps us rolling!
