Lambda Theta Phi at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte was founded in 2007, and since the brotherhood has continued to leave its impact on campus!
Being a member of Lambda Theta Phi today is primarily focused on the bonds of a brotherhood formed during the time as an active member. Lambda Theta helps bring men together with shared values to become best friends, maintain a standard of learning, develop character, respect culture and promote dignity and self-identity.
Lambda brothers have learned that financial support is hard to attain, especially coming from low-income minority families. Of these families, most are first-generation students who have little to no guidance in pursuing their academic and professional goals. Los Primeros Scholarship aims to provide incoming minority, first-generation students financial support, emphasizing those who demonstrate an interest in Latino Heritage. The ultimate goal of this scholarship is to provide financial aid to future professionals so that they would also be able to provide financial support to the Charlotte community.
The brothers of Lambda Theta Phi ask you to “choose thoughtfully” as we aim to create an environment to help ensure the future of LatinX students. Our goal for the scholarship is to raise $10,000 ultimately.
