Help fight food insecurity for NUE students in-need

Happy Holidays from Niner University Elementary!

December 23, 2020

As we enter this holiday season and prepare for the new year ahead, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to you.  The generous support of Niner University Elementary at Amay James has been amazing!

Taking on the role of Principal in August 2019, I knew we would face challenges in opening this school.  However, the pandemic added another layer of challenges that you helped us overcome.  Your gift, no matter the amount, has touched the lives of our students and their families, and for that we are grateful.

This holiday card is a small token of appreciation from our Niner University Elementary at Amay James family to yours.  We hope you enjoy this card from our students!

Happy Holidays!

Thank You!

November 13, 2020

From the depths of our hearts, THANK YOU for supporting the students of Niner University Elementary (NUE) at Amay James!  With your assistance, we were able to raise $4,880 from 50 donors to help feed our students.

As our students prepare to head into the classrooms of Niner University Elementary in the next few weeks, we are heartened to know that they will have access to breakfast and snack foods, in addition to their normal served lunch. NUE has several homeless families and many others struggling due to the pandemic and other factors. The support of donors like you will help our NUE teachers provide comfort to our students that they are nourished and cherished throughout the day.

Thanks again for your support!

Niner University Elementary Food Insecurity Project Update - Stretch Goal

October 26, 2020

Thanks again for your support of Niner University Elementary (NUE) and helping us fight food insecurity for our students.  The number one Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) in the United States is poverty.  NC currently exceeds the national average in that statistic.  For the majority of students at NUE, food insecurity is a way of life.  However, because of your efforts and the generosity of many, we can be certain that our children are provided a healthy breakfast and afternoon snack daily.

One third of the students at NUE lack the funds to pay for their meals.  You have helped us provide breakfast and snack foods for 25% of these students.  We are hoping to reach a stretch goal of raising an additional $1,500 to provide food for even more students.

Please continue to share this project with your networks as we continue to support NUE students.  Thanks again for your support!
