The team volunteered at the food pantry and helped unbox and organize over 2,500lbs of food to help food-insecure students at UNC Charlotte. It was a blast and we will be sure to come back to help out again this semester. (2/14/20)
The team volunteer to help clean up Hidden Valley River about 15 minutes from campus. We spent our Saturday morning bonding as we were able to rid the river of trash and pollutants to help protect our planet. It was so much fun and a great way to get down and dirty with our new teammates!
Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters,
The Women's Club Lacrosse team here at UNC Charlotte wants to thank everyone that has donated to or supported our team in any way this year. As you may have heard, UNC Charlotte has announced a switch to online classes for the next two weeks and likely for longer due to the Coronavirus pandemic. All club sports seasons have also ended due to this news and so, unfortunately, with a heavy heart, we ended our season this past week at our last practice on Thursday, March 12th. The worst part is that we didn't even know it was going to be our last. We're incredibly disappointed to hear that we've lost 2/3 of our season but we understand the difficult decisions that were needed to be made. We will be postponing our crowdfunding effort until the following semester, Fall 2020, because we recognize the importance of focusing time, effort and finances into keeping our nation safe and healthy. We hope that you all take any necessary precautions in order to protect yourselves from illness and we wish you the best during this difficult time. Hopefully, we can revisit our commitment to fundraising in the next couple of months. With that being said, this fundraising page will continue to stay open and active if you so wish to donate during our break from marketing this campaign.

As a team, we love supporting our fellow club sports teams. We've gone to 2 Men's Lacrosse games so far this semester and can't wait to make it out to some Women's Rugby games as well!
We are excited to announce our Spring 2020 game schedule. There are a few dates that are subject to change but we look forward to seeing you at one of our matches on Recreational Field 13
Our first game is in the books! On Sunday the 23rd of February we had our first spring game at home against High Point University. This semester we added 13 new members to our team including 7 members who have never played the sport before! This is the biggest roster we've had in years and we were eager to get all of our new players plenty of playing time. It was a hard-fought loss of 7-9 but our teammates were able to get game experience for the first time ever and that is a win in our books. Our ladies killed it! We hope to see everyone out at our next home game on March 21st!!!!
The stick with a net on the end that is used to catch, throw, shoot, and carry the ball.
Cradling is the act of moving the stick back and forth vertically in order to keep the ball in the pocket of the stick while running.
After the goalie saves the ball or the ball ends up in the goalie circle without it entering the goal, the ball must be transitioned out of the circle within 10 seconds.
The draw takes place after every goal that is scored. The ball is placed between 2 opposing players sticks and when the whistle is blown the ball is propelled into the air and the teams try to gain possession of it to start the play.
