The Charlotte 49ers Cheerleaders have a long history of success both on the field and court supporting 49ers athletics and also on the mat as a competitive cheerleading squad.
The team has consistently been ranked in the top 10 nationally in multiple divisions and has had consecutive top 5 finishes, including 1st place in 2002, since 1995. Their reputation for success led to the 49ers cheerleading squad being selected to participate in the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA.
The Charlotte 49ers Cheerleaders have once again continued their tradition of excellence and have been awarded a Silver paid bid to attend NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL from April 9-12, 2020 based on their outstanding performance at summer camp.
This year's team has proven to be a very talented and motivated team and plans to compete in the Division IA Advanced Small Co-Ed division. They are being led by an entirely new coaching staff that came on board mid-summer.
The cost of attending Nationals is very steep and can range from $900-$1,100 per athlete. The team needs your help in and support to be able to attend this prestigious trip! A gift of any amount will help these student-athletes be able to compete on behalf of UNC Charlotte.
The team looks forward to representing Charlotte Athletics and appreciate your support of their efforts. Go Niners!
