Thank you again for your generous support of UNC Charlotte's Corporal Robert Qutub USMC Veterans Lounge during #GivingTuesday this past November. It has now been just over six months since the end of the campaign and I am excited to share this interactive 360 degree video of the Lounge.

The 360 technology used to create this video allows you to click and drag the mouse around the screen to view the space like you are standing in the room. Samantha De Laho, a student veteran, narrates the video. 

I hope this gives you an idea of the incredible space this lounge has created for our student veterans. It has already gotten plenty of use. They hosted a number of movie marathons and study groups in the space this past semester thanks to donor support.

We have finished counting all the gifts that came in for our #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign. We are proud to announce that we raised over $6,600 from 73 donors to outfit the Qutub Veterans Lounge with technology upgrades. 

Also, our 49er students, faculty and staff signed nearly 700 holiday cards that will be sent to active service members who aren't able to go home for the holidays.

Thank you for the generous support this #GivingTuesdayCLT. We have already blown past our original goal, which means we are able to purchase a printer and supplies for the Qutub Veterans Lounge. With the additional funds raised, we will be able to replenish the supplies and purchase additional technology for veterans to use while they are working toward their educational goals.  

Thank you to everyone who has already participated, especially those who were the SHARE Charlotte #GivingTuesdayCLT headquarters.
