Niner University Elementary (NUE) at Amay James is a public school that opened its virtual doors in August 2020, and is led by education experts at UNC Charlotte. NUE currently has 76 students in grades K-2. Many of these students face food security challenges, which have been exacerbated by COVID-19.
“Any help that our students can get with basic daily needs, including food, will be appreciated by our students, their families, and all the teachers and staff at NUE,” said Pamela Broome, principal of NUE.
Help NUE make sure that its students have food throughout the week.
Currently, about a third of the students are expected to lack the funds to pay for these meals. Because many NUE students face food insecurity, the afternoon snack at NUE may be the last meal the student has before returning to school the next day.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to help these young students have the resources and energy they need to learn in our current complex environment! Your gift helps to support the greatest needs of NUE.
