Student Veterans of America Tournament

At UNC Charlotte, we take pride in the gold standard we set with our Military-Veteran Services. We have been recognized as one of the nation’s top Military Friendly Schools, earning the Gold designation in 2022–23, 2023–24, and 2025–26. Our commitment to veterans has also been honored through Military Times’ Best for Vets Colleges ranking for three consecutive years and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top colleges for veterans, including third-best in North Carolina. Our mission is to help student veterans find community and connection, and with your support we can expand that impact throughout the city and beyond.

This Spring, the Student Veterans of America 49ers Chapter will host the first statewide SVA Tournament at the 49th Acre, bringing together chapters from across North Carolina for a day of camaraderie, competition, and collaboration. This tournament marks the beginning of a new era of connection among student veterans, setting the stage for future events that will unite campuses and strengthen North Carolina’s veteran network for years to come. The success of this tournament is not just about one day, but about creating a tradition that lasts.

Each meal costs $25, and every contribution directly supports veterans attending this milestone event. By donating, you are fueling more than a meal, you are helping position UNC Charlotte at the forefront of leadership in building and connecting the veteran community statewide.
